I went to NTB store (3590 N. Grapevine Mills Blvd) for an oil change and tire rotation yesterday and a terrible incident happened. I feel so lucky today that I am still alive to tell people what had happened. I could have killed myself once I went on 121 highways!

I checked in for an oil change and tire rotation, the receptionist checked my mileage and tires. When she comes back she recommended changing both front tires. So I agreed to change it. About one hour later I got phone call from her telling me the work is complete. Then my wife dropped me off in the store front. I told her to go first and I will catch up. So I paid the money, got into the car and started engine. Everything looked ok until I drove off the parking lot. I feel the van running differently and hear sounds below. My sense telling me something must be wrong. So I turned around and back to the store front. I called my store manager out and want him to check what was going on? So I let him to drive it and feel it. He is not sure and pulls the van into the shop and let one of his technicians to look at it. The next thing – all the front wheel lug nuts are not tightening – it is falling out! Obviously the technician who changed my tire forgot to tighten them. So after re-work on them and drove my van home just to find that the wheel cap is missing as well. I called the store and they told me they found it. So I went back to get the cap and this time my wife went with me as well since she was so pissed with what had happened. She wants the manager to explain it. The manager told her that nothing had really happend and what you want me to do. So he offered a free oil change next time but will not do it before change the oil pan. I asked how much and he went back to office and come back with an estimate more than $600 and he offers us and discount of $75 (I checked on-line this kind of work on average is about $350). We didn’t accept it since it is too expensive!

I wish my writing here could warn other people going to NTB store, make sure you check your vehicle after repair. Don’t rely on the store for a quality and Safety check!
